Universalizing religions
Hearths:
- Christianity – Judea
- Islam – Mecca
- Buddhism – northern India
Ethnic religions
Hearths:
- Judaism: Mesopotamia (birthplace of Abraham), then Israel
- Hinduism: India
- Shintoism: Japan
Hearths
Hearths here are denoted by small squares colored darker than the religion they represent.
